Opening day for the Power Section at South of Perth Yacht Club 2017
The H28 fleet has the traditional duty to do opening day for the power yachts and so we rocked down to the club with one or two new people to pass on the skills to and set off onto the water to do our bit for the power fleet. It was a lovely day on the water with over 35 boats setting out to compete on the opening day for the time trialing season. Not as much bling on the boats this year, but there were some great efforts on show and I hope that the balloons that were spread around the waters of the Canning were rescued before they went into someone's water intake.
The official party weren't ready for us as we set off, but we had a great time snapping around the fleet as they lined up for the sail/power past. Did enjoy the photos at that time as there were lots of people waving.
Then off down to Lucky Bay and wait patiently for the mob to arrive. Yes it was a little bumpy as the big boats went past, but I felt sorry for the little boats such as Bridget and Thanet as they patiently worked their way around the course getting rolled by every big boat that went past.
Enjoy the photo's
